When Pamela first met Jackson Browne, she was 19 and he was 14. At the time, he had written a grand total of 3 songs, and Pamela instantly recognized his talent and was always supportive of his becoming a professional musician.
Flying Thing was her favorite of Jackson's first three songs. To this day, no one else has recorded it. Even this version was never released, because it was not included in the final album selection.
