Our National Anthem

from The Gentle Soul by Pamela Polland and Rick Stanley

/

about

Pamela, Rick, Terry and all the musicians they ever worked with, were SURE this was going to be the Gentle Soul "break-out hit". Amazingly, to this day, Pamela still thinks this is a hit song. It was released as a single, but without sincere support from the record company at the time of release, it never went anywhere. The reason they called the song Our National Anthem was because they truly believed in the theme "it's love and it's right for me". Pamela and Rick's message was always that love is the great healer, the great uniter, and that love is always *right*. That was the "anthem" of the Gentle Soul, and this song represented that theme.
